The Moving Story of Josh Jacobs Going from Living in his Car to Buying his Father a Home

The sport leaves us wonderful and successful stories every day, like Josh Jacobs, the Oakland Raiders runner.

The player of just 21 years, lived his rookie season in the NFL with the Raiders and although they failed to reach the postseason, he did not miss his first campaign in the grid.

In his social networks, Josh Jacobs announced that he had just bought a house from his father.

Josh Jacobs’s childhood was not easy. These were difficult times for him and his father, to the extent of being forced to live in a car.

Josh’s father, Marty Jacobs , declared prior to the 2019 NFL Draft how difficult the young runner’s childhood was and said he was proud that he had taken the best of that experience.

One of the things that makes me proud of Josh is that he always trusted. There are many situations he experienced as a child and he does not want his son to live them. I cry when I talk about this because God entrusted me to the children. That is why I am happy that Josh accepted the good things that emerged from what we live,” he said at the time.

Josh Jacobs was selected in the 24th overall pick of the Draft but was one of the best Oakland Raiders players in the campaign.

He was the third best runner of the regular season in the NFL, just below Derick Henry of the Titans and Nick Chubb of the Browns.

In total, Jacobs ran for 1 thousand 316 yards and got seven times to the diagonals. Per game, Josh averaged a total of 88.5 yards and that only had participation in seven games.
